Um die Stadt so komplett wie nur möglich zu präsentieren, haben wir uns bemüht sie aus unterschiedlichsten Blickwinkeln zu zeigen. Wir sind in Himmelshöhe gestiegen, auf Mauern und Türme, auch auf den Glocken turm der Kathedrale und den Feuerwehrturm, und letztendlich in unserer schöpferischen Glut so manchem auf den Kopf.

Lungo la costa croata dell'Adriatico ci sono

centinaia di piccole località e cittadine riconoscibili già da lontano per il loro caratteristico campanile, la tipica riva, le estese spiagge... . Arrivati più vicino, vi si offre il mare, i numerosi ristoranti, il buon odorino dei cibi che si stanno preparando... . A scegliere tra le numerose località accessibili, vi aiuteranno le pagine di questo libro, che si propongono di illustrarvi le particolarità di questa singolare città, molto più grande dell’immagine data dalla sua piantina.

Vi sembriamo alquanto presuntuosi? No, non possiamo soltanto essere del tutto obiettivi!

Per presentarvela quanto più dettagliatamente, abbiamo cercato di analizzarla da ottiche quanto più diverse. Siamo volati all’altezza delle nuvole, ci siamo arrampicati sulle sue mura e bastioni, siamo saliti sul campanile della cattedrale e sulla torre dei vigili del fuoco, nell’ardore del nostro creare a molti siamo arrivati fin sopra i capelli.

A SMALL MONOGRAPH OF A GREAT CITY

Along the Croatian side of the Adriatic Sea there are hundreds of little places and towns, which can be recognised from afar by the characteristic bell towers, the promenade, the beaches…When you come closer, there is the sea, restaurants, the smell of good food… In order for you to be able to distinguish the city of Krk from this group of “just one of those places”, you now have this book of 240 pages available, as an attempt to show the special characteristics of this city, which is in many ways unique, and much greater than its ground plan would indicate.

Are we being pretentious from the outset?

No, just a little subjective!

In order to show the city as completely as possible, we have endeavoured to show it from as many different angles as we can. We have climbed up to the heights of heaven, we have climbed onto the walls and up towers, we have climbed up the cathedral bell tower and the tower by the fire station, and in our creative passion, we have even driven many other people up the wall!
